Deciding on a Logo*Disclaimer* Hey guys, I am writing this blog because I want to give you a glimpse into my creative process, so you can see all that goes into my work. It’s so much more than point and shoot. But please keep in mind that English is my SECOND language so do us both a favor and don’t judge my grammar too harshly and instead focus on the heart of what I I’m trying to covey and don’t worry so much about missing comas or what not. Like they say it’s the PICTURES that are worth a thousand words.
My logo has been seen as a child, it is something that as Puerto Rican children been taught in school. They even would take us to museums to look at prehistoric drawings from the Indio Tainos. It is part of our rich history as it is part of our DNA. The symbol is actually of an old Indian drawing of a frog. The last time I went back home to visit my family in Puerto Rico I saw those drawings again and my childhood flooding back into my mind. As a Puerto Rican living in the desert of Arizona and putting my logo in my pictures it means that this island girl can survive anywhere. I say that because it was believed that the frog "El Coqui" could only survive in the island of Puerto Rico however, it was accidentally introduced in Maui in 1988 and now it's thriving. Well more of a nuisance to them but you know I love the coqui.
